Ready to take the next step? Olivia’s Place relies entirely on community donations like yours to operate.
Six Gippsland businesses have already signed up to a new patron partner program supporting the work of Olivia’s Place. The Warragul-based organisation launched its Patron Partner Program in November, and we’re looking for six more businesses to join.
240 Gippslanders turned out for the annual Olivia’s Place Charity Gala on August 17 at Lardner Park, with the aim of raising funds for Olivia’s Place to continue supporting Gippsland families through the highs and lows of pregnancy and early parenting.
Olivia’s Place has purchased a painting by a local Aboriginal artist after a successful fundraising effort.
“More than 20 percent of the families we supported last year identified as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - that is a significant amount,” said Kirsten Finger, Olivia’s Place co-founder.
In early 2018, Olivia’s Place – which solely relies on private and corporate donations - successfully applied for and received an EnergyAustralia Community Grant.
Twelve months on, Energy Australia caught up with us to find out what difference the grant was making.
More than 400 people took the opportunity earlier this month to grab babywear bargains and check out the Olivia’s Place warehouse, raising more than $1200 in the process.
“I think people were really blown away by the size of our operation,” said Kirsten Finger, Olivia’s Place co-founder.
